My pleco, who looks just like this 
is a traveling work horse, I have 4 tanks running right now,
a 210 gal angel tank
a 40 breeder thats planted
a 30 long various african tank
and a 15 breeder with a mean little geophagus in it by himself.
As each tank starts to algae up, Mr. Traveling Pleco, gets to move from tank to tank, where very shortly, just a couple of days usually, he cleans that tank up, packs his bags, and moves to greener pastures (so to speak)
Seems very efficient to me, and he always has lots of food, and a fat belly :)
