    Sounds like they are doing well! Just wanted a little background on the tank. With the stock, I'd just suggest a solid water change schedule and lowering the nitrates, teamed up with Melafix should have your Synodont in good shape in no time. They are really tough little fish and can take a few licks. We have some Petricolas and they take heat from gobies and multis without a thought at all. Good luck and keep us updated with any changes

      he still looks terrible but he has been more active today so hopefully thats a good sign and the nitrates look to b around 100-140ish now

        They are falling, so that should help and continue to lower with water changes. His increased activity level is a good sign. Has he continued to eat?

          i havnt put any food in the tank...i will try feeding him tonight

            Glad this guy is feeling better.
            My FFS would try to hide under the heater and burn his head but it was never that bad.
