  • Urgent I NEED.....ASAP

    Hello everyone!

If any one knows where I can get a bundle of regular/albino bristle nose plecos, I would certainly appreciate knowing!
My smaller tank had a spark of algae begin lately and I need it cleaned up!

    Or any algae eater...

Call houston aquarium warehouse or fish gallery they tend to usually keep them in stock. Other than that check with armthehomeless to see what he has in stock

Armthehomeless has small L144 and Long fin albino bristlenose. Instead of adding another fish for your algae problems, why not find the cause and take appropriate measures? That way, you won't have to waste gas money and money on buying another fish. There's always a reason that you get algae in the first place. The usual culprits are over feeding, extra nutrients, or too much light.

+1 on the reasons way you get algea. cut back the light and stop feeding for a couple of days. see what happens.
I have ABN pleco's but they are still to small at 6 weeks old.

Well I love the bristle nose plecos! But I get what y'all are saying,
it may be the light. I just added another filter to it(fx5) seems to be helping slightly. I'll leave the light off and feed them in a few days

They eventually get up to 5-6" if well taken care of. How big is this smaller tank?

The two I have at my apartment are a 160g and 55g. The 55g is the one with the problem... I only have a small cheery zebra, two small red fun boriyelly?, ( dont know how to spell that) insignus, and a few demasoni. Oh and a clown loach. All small though, one 90 gph filter and one 400gph filter. The light has been off. I have a 5 1/2 inch albino bristle nose female, and a three inch male in the 160g.

TangoMike has very nice pleco's. Mine are still to small. they aren't even an inch yet. It will be another 8 weeks for my pleco's to be big enough to sale.

As far as algae eaters, I have L144s and panda garras in addition to zebra otos and some oddball plecos.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
