Fight Night!!!!

Released this all brown male BrownBristlenose that I got from Cesar into my Tropheus tank which was already housing the male Brown Bristlenose that I got from Brownsnout which has lots of yelllow speckles on it and all hell broke loose!!!!

They immediately found each other like there was a scent or something! They were flicking their bodies and stabbing each other with their pectoral fins which was pretty awesome! Myjohnson was at my house and witnessed it first hand!

It was pretty crazy.....it was like a whirlwind when they went at it! sand flicked up everywhere as well as all the poop cause they decided to quarrel in one of the two spots where poop piles.  :evil:

It was brutal! If they weren't armored I'm sure I would have had to flush two nice bristlenose that night

wow..I did not even know these guys would be that agressive to one another.

In my tanks where I got brisstlenose, I realize that with the exception of 1 tank the rest have but one male.  In the tank where I have 2-males one male is huge and the other is like 2"

I guess I'm going to have to pay more attention to them when the 2" guy gets bigger.

So they don't have babies.....duh.

It happens with all fishes....it's called territorial dispute....it was fun to watch actually and they now both chill together....even shared a NLS H20 wafer the other night.

Come to think of it...... having an arowana, turtles and discus together is not close to ideal as keeping 2 male bristlenose together in a 6' tank....

That's awesome! My little baby BNs get into it every once in a while, but nothing like you described! They just curl into an "S" position (they look like a yin-yang sign) and flick their tails and heads at one another for about 10 minutes, then one finally swims off.

Hope they're getting along a bit better now!

Okay. So you don't want to breed BN. If i was you, I will try breeding them.

Anyway, it is good to hear that your two male BN are getting along with each other. I freaked out when first thinking they will fight until one died.

My turtles and discuses are already rehomed. So, arowana now claim the 100 gal tank. He deserves it.  :P  hihi
