    I remember 1612 quite well. It also was the year that our friend Hendrik Laurenszoon Spiegel died, who was one of the most important writers and thinkers from Amsterdam in the 17th century.

    They are in fact growing 6-8 metres below sealevel Mike. We conquered the place from the sea around 1612 I believe (I just missed it)
