  • Red on pleco

I noticed some red on the body of my pleco, there is no visible marks. Kind of looks a bit "see through".

I read online and there isn't much info. Should I be worried ?

Are you sure Andrew? Looks like a young male to me. Isn't the redness not simply blood and intestials "shiniing" through?

ABNs are breeding size at like 3". He's showing breeding colors for sure, without a doubt. Males get the full body red color, females get the red on their forehead

Thanks! That's something I don't have to worry about then!

I would have pegged him for female, I thought the male was supposedly to have bristles coming up the bridge of his nose ?
