hillstream borneo loach

got couple of these guys, they are so cool, almost like a stingray, they move all around the tank, very peaceful and does not seem to bother anyone, my only concern is that my tank is always at 80 degrees and i don't think they like that, we will see how they do, so far so good, here is a couple of pictures just like the two i got

They are quite interesting fish. Let me know if they grow in size for you. I have heard of several reports of them not growing in length after the time that they were purchased.

Since they like cooler water, would they do well with natives? I have a 20 gallon long with minnows, shiners and madtom catfish.

i got them at fish ranch, i would think a set up with minnows and them would be pretty good because they both prefer colder water!  wish i had another tank/time/money to set up minnows, i love those guys, maybe a nano at some point

Just came back from city pets and bought 2 of them(Sewellia lineolata).Nice loach indeed

I just picked up two of them from City Pets... 7.99 each..
I am excited about them... they are so cool looking :)
They are going first into a tank where there is a lot of algae to help out.. they are so cute..

they are really awesome, they move all over my aquarium and move very fast, they chase each other around and sometimes the bigger one wants to go after the bn and ocat,  their movements are very interesting, went by fish gallery today, there are some in there still

i have seen that someone is breeding them in captivity, that sells on aquabid , so thats promising for their keeping.

City Pets now has another species of Hillstream loach (sold as "China pleco" ):



These are larger, darker, and have smaller spots than the species they previously had for sale.
