Pleco Eggs--Hey Ptran!

I think my crazy plecos have laid eggs on the glass up at the top right corner of the tank and also on the inside of the glass lid! I did a net search on the fish in the 20gal and the only ones with eggs like I've got are from plecos. I read online where one person had plecos that actually laid eggs on the glass like that instead of in caves. No one is paying any attention to the eggs though. This happened while I was at Crizz's house while he was out of town so I never got to witness who laid them. I'm guessing since no one is fanning or taking care of them that they won't hatch though. They're real smooth, but hard.

Pleco eggs are golden color and about 1/8" in diameter. You need to give them a cave.

Pleco's do not lay egg on glass. that is more to what cory's do.

No, no cories. but I did find a video of a BN pleco that laid eggs on the glass much to the owners surprise. I've surfed all over the net looking at pleco eggs and that's what they have to be, and yes, they're golden. Ya'll know that if anything crazy and unusual can happen, it will happen in my tanks, like the pleco living in and out of the HOB. None of my plecs have any bristles that I can see though, so I'm thinking I might have all girls. Not sure about the smallest one yet. I might have to buy a boy from you Ptran. Cracks me up when your guys hop on to the mystery snail and clean it's shell. I do have a cave in the tank but the plecs are always out. I never see anyone in there any more.

Hmm, why is there eggs without boys? That's strange.

The eggs have been there for about 2wks. I finally took one clump off the glass today. I didn't look to see if the other clump is still right up by the rim of the tank. I squeezed the clump and they popped much like an egg shell would and then it was all slimy. They weren't being tended to at all.

I'm thinking If there is no boys, those eggs would go bad in a few days rather than 2 weeks.

By the way, even the female BN would have bristle, but the male bristle is more pronounced.

Are they mystery snail eggs? they can look like the color but are in a cluch all together.
