I have one albino longfin, one brown longfin, half a dozen albinos and one dwarf (only 2") scattered around my fish room.
I plan on trying to spawn them one day. Can you pass on your water paramaters & setup information please.
Will do. I'll test it all shortly.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
I think they will breed to be true albino longfins with both the parents were that way. I have the browm longfins and albinos, have had the albino longfins but never able to get them to grow to adults.
On aquabid I was buying them for $2-4 dollars a piece at the 1.5" size for the albino longfins. Not having to pay shipping I think you should be able to sell them for $3-5 each. Keep up the water changes because I think I lost mine because I did not do it enough. I think that is supper coool! later, ken
Islander: I have been doing 50% wc weekly; would you recommend doing more?

There is no reason, In my pleco spawning experience this has happened before. You can put the eggs in a floating container and seperate them or you can let natures take its course. It just happens that the mother gave birth in the open

The male probably, accidently, pushed the eggs out into the open whilst fanning them. If a female lays her eggs out in the open, A) they wont be fertile, and B) Other fish will eat them. So you should definately catch them out and put them in another tank or container.
Thanks Micheal and Chris. They are in a container now (in the same tank)

Sure thing. I'll have to check this thread once they get large enough. J-WS6 came over today and showed me how to tell which eggs were fertile and which ones weren't. And then he showed me which eggs had little tiny heads peeking out of them! I tried zooming in with my camera... but alas.
