BN plecos keep on dying in my mbuna tank. Help!!

In the last 2 weeks I have lost 3 BN pleco in my 110. It is stocked with 19 yellow labs, 24 demasoni, and 5 acei. I have cichlid sand and holey rock. For filtration I have a eheim 2260. The water parameters are pH 8.2 nitrites and amounia are at 0. I haven't seen any attacks so I'm confused why this is happening. Anybody have any ideas?

When did you add the BN's?
What size are the BN's compared to the other fish?
Where did you get the BN's from?

I added the 1 plecos about 2 week ago. A week later he died so I bought 2 more. 1 died within 24 hours and the other one died this morning. The BN are bigger that my cichlids. They were about 3 inches.

Yes, they are animals capable of just about anything.

I am guessing you don't want to say where you got them from... it could be the problem.

I honestly think it is a problem on my end somewhere. I got them from a friend, she doesn't have any issues with them. She'd replace them but I think it's on my end.

Well, knowing where they came from will help a great deal. Water parameters is one of the reasons why I asked.

Maybe the water parameters are too different and it's shocking them?

yah, find out how her water params compare to yours, if they are significantly different you might need to be acclimating them to your water slowly.

Ive never had a problem switching BN from one tank to another without acclimating.
