              Yes I believe it could be. I have moved bn from a tank with a ph 6.2 to a tank with a ph 7.8 and it died within a week. Even with acclimating. Imo try acclimating over a period of 2 hours to give it time to adjust. I think I acclimated mine too fast and caused it's death. My other's that I transfered to a ph 7.2 are still alive and well.
