Quick question for everyone about new filter

i have this new filter that they sell at wal-mart made by tetra its a cool looking filter and its has a lot of flow but its very loud and was wondering if anyone else had the same problem with these?? .. i can hear that filter going across the room and it gets very anoyeing at night it louder than the water splash..
