setting up a Ro/DI

any one know a thread (or want to start on) or a link on how o set one of these up and what the different parts do?

RO/DI, how many chambers are we talking about?

The one I had, was 4 chambers, first came your large spungeish thing which took out the large particales in the water, then second chamber was the carbon filter to take out the chems, 3rd normally smaller and horizonal instead of vertical was the RO media, then normally its nice to have a split valve here to either go to the DI or give you just RO water. Then the DI media in the last unit.

Lots of people hook the thing up to the Washer machine cold water and the waste water into the drainage of the washer, or into a hose around your garden. I did the down the drain myself.

The DI you only need if you are doing Saltwater, and never drink the DI water.

Most comes with instructions.

I have a 5stage and it's a simple setup.
One feed hose(water supply)
One waste line (wasted water to make RO/DI)
One RO/DI line (the outcome of the system)
