To add to this the phosphate and other test are almost worthless new or old.

My API Freshwater Master kit is 5 yrs old. I use it infrequently. Recently I had to reset my co2 in the discus tank and used the Ph test to do so. The tap Ph showed the same as it did when the kit was new. Last year after Ike I used the Ammonia and Nitrite kits. Both seemed to test fine. I know this isn't really answering the question for you Traci. Have you tried going on the AP site to see if they can give expiration data?

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

The info I posted actually came from API. I was sharing the info I got with everyone here.
