UV Sterlizer - Worth the Cost vs. Benefit?

I have a 125g freshwater tank with geophagus, fancy plecos, and tetras.

I am not having any problems with algae, or anything like that,
but i am just curious if a uv sterilizer would benifit my tank in any way.

Are they a good piece of equipment to have on any tank, or is there only certain applications where they actually benifit?

I just want some first hand experience/input.

I think the flux capacitor is a much needed item for any tank... I mean it did wonders on the DeLerean.

No fry... I am enjoying watching my Trophs rush the females when they drop eggs too much to bother with trying to rear fry.

Also fun to see how the trophs will "hunt" at night when you shine a little bit of light in the room and the Rainbowfish are up top their scales shimmer and the Trophs hit them like a good tackle!

geez, its a pretty straight forward ?
uv sterilizers, are he or are they not a benificial piece of equipment for any setup?

I think UV Sterilizers can be beneficial. For them to work right though, they really have to be 'configured' right. You have to take into consideration the tank size, the flow rate, the bulb wattage, and you kind of have to stay on top of the cleaning of the quartz sleeve.
