  • odyssea HO T6 light fixture

I was wondering if anybody on the board has RECENTLY (within last six months or so) bought an Odyssea T6 light fixture? What's your opinion on them?..

    Thanks

i bought one ~7 months ago, i absolutly loved it!!!!

i bought the 48" 2x 54 watt fixture, its very very powerful for the money!
i would got with the 4x bulb fixture though, its ridiculously bright.

We've bought four 48" dual fixture T6's over the last year. I've read online of the ballasts burning up and catching the house on fire. Ours have never shorted or overheated, but we do keep them on a timer, so they are never on for more than 10 hours at a time.

      No complaints though.

Jeebus this was an issue with their Halide lights -- I dont think there was ever an issue with their T6 light fixtures. I could be wrong.. I bought my T6 light fixture 2 yrs ago and have had no problems with it so far. Still running strong at my Mom's house in Lake Jackson without issues. I have replaced the bulbs about a year ago when the white bulb took a time out (ie forever)

This is not good! I keep mine on when I'm at work.. I better put a timer on it!

Thanks all for the feedback...it makes me feel better about getting one. I guess Oddysea have increase their quality from a few years ago.

What I have found in Odysea Fixtures is that they are hard on bulbs too. A friend of mine is having to replace bulbs faster than he did in same wattage Coralife.
