im getting a new 110 this evening and im going to try pool filter sand for the first time. Ill post pix when it is done, as well as any issues that I may come across.

Okay...got the tank set up....did not wash the sand which didn't cloud up the water too bad. Noting more than if you were to move some decorations around in it.
Currently, I do have a dual bulb fixture on the tank w/ Ultraviolet Resources International lightbulbs...1 is an Actinic White and the other (which needed to be replaced) is an Aquasun 4. Web site:www.uvlco.com My actinic is a 12000, and the Aquasun looks to have been a 10000. So I'll take your suggest Jesper and find a replacement 10K. Any particular brand?Comment
