That was with the last frozen bottle being put in at 11. On days I'm home I'll be able to swap bottles out and hopefully keep it at 84 or below. Jesper came over and helped me with a water change today and now the water is at 82.

I'll be home all day tomorrow so I'll post results starting at wake-up.

Yeah I am thinking your fish look so much better now that they got a good water change, didnt put prime/amquel in the tank to take away the O2 (carbon filters rock) and hopefully the bloat problem is on its way out the door..

      What fish do Jesper have
180 WC T. Moorii Chilambo +1 Petro trewavasae.
      110
Cyps, WC Xeno Spilopterus Kipili WC/F1/F2 T. sp red Kiku
      58 S. Decorus

John starting temp is 85, I was going to put a frozen water bottle in there but Ill wait to see what the swamp cooler will do in an hour, after losing 3 fish in one day I am pretty disgusted.

Tank is holding at 82 for now. Still hot as _____ in the garage.

Hey John, everything I'm reading on evaporative coolers is that they work best in low-humidity environments. How are you going to vent yours to keep the garage's humidity from building?

brand new thermometer broke, seems like water is cool enough. Hopefully mercury poisoning wont be a factor.

Thanks Jesper and Geoff, seems like they are okay for now. Update in the a.m.
Water temp 84 after a 25% water change, did use prime lets see if thats a factor. Anbody thinking of putting a fish tank in the garage DONT DO IT.
I will never attempt this again, even as a last resort. John (fshfrk) thanks for your prototype fish tank swamp cooler, it looks like it will help keep the temp down, Ill let you know as the day progresses.

Iam sure I speak for everybody here, I hate losing fish, especially when its my fault. We all learn from each others trials and tribulations. I am glad we have a people here that can give a helping hand in the time of need. Glen I hope your fish are doing well.

I agree. Don't do it unless you have a plan to cool it in the summer AND heat it in the winter. I never for a second thought it would get too hot. That was very naive of me. I've lost four fish so far because of it.

Cesar, I didn't realize you were in the same boat as me. Have you lost any yet?
