seems like you don't got the love anyhow.

always worried about what other people got to say about your fishes.

if it's that much trouble. I'll buy them from you. Pm me the asking price.

Ugh.. Sometimes I want to choke you - in the most loving way of course.

I'm not selling them. I'm just frustrated to hell about them being sick. The reality is that I don't have the money for a chiller, space for a refrigerator, or any of the other means to cool the room suggested. So I'm going to nurse them back to health the best I can and then consolidate them into one tank inside.

It frustrates me because with the 150, I had plans to get more fish. But I can't justify getting more fish if I can't properly house the ones I have now.

As for "always being worried about what people got to say about my fish", that's simply not true. There have only been two people on this forum to ever say anything that could even be construed as possibly less than positive about my fish, and I have it on the highest authority both were "drunk" when they posted. Had either one not ever said anything however, then there would have never been any issue with my fish.

I love my fish. I'm just frustrated that some are sick. I always come to this forum looking for support and never criticism or skepticism. Right now I'm selfishly venting to the forum. My apologies if I've offended anyone. I'm having a rough night. And yes, I'm sober. I have to be, I'm at work. lol..

I know glen, you know I'm just messing with you.

If you need me to let you borrow some money on a chiller I can do that.

I know how bad it can be.....We all lose fishes. So I understand your pain.

Nah, its okay. I've got a plan I'm gonna stick with. Thank you though, and I do 100% appreciate all the replies and pm's I've gotten over this issue. I hate that other boxers are going through it too and hope they have better luck than I'm having. I've lost five fish now. I know its nothing compared to people who have lost whole colonies, but to me, I don't want to lose ONE fish.

The best plan is still to consolidate the fish, just now in the 135 and not the 150. I guess I'm just frustrated not only that they got sick, but that I can't keep a garage tank short of pouring MORE money into it than what I already have and worst of all, no new fish (think red cheek fry and chilambo fry) any time soon.

Add to all that, I'm already having a rough night at work and I got online with a bad attitude already in place. lol.. My nickname from my crew is "Glum Glen" after the SNL skit "Debby Downer".

I think the whole thing just caught us by surprise and we (foolishly) did not think about how hot it would get in the garage. Getting a chiller would be the easiest solution but with our work schedules and a new addition on the way, the best route is to downsize.

Plus no one wants to be stressed out over something that is meant to de-stress them!

sometimes you sound just like my wife, my stress levels have increased since all this.
I finally got the boys back inside in the 210, without John (fshfrk) helping I probably would have been up till 5am. They are doing okay havent lost anymore since those 3 a few days back.

                    • I have some good news to report. One of the fish we had written off as dead from being EXTREMELY bloated has lost at least 90% of the swelling. In fact, Kim had to point her out to me this morning as I couldn't pick her out of the herd.

Not sure how her insides are, but the swelling is gone. You can see the mark the bloat left on the Rainbows as they all have "pinched" foreheads. We're still continuing our normal bloat regiment of water changes, salt, and metro.

As for the Dubs, I don't think they realized there was ever anything wrong lol..

                        • This is record heat we have been having this month, none of you are doing anything wrong with your fish tanks. I lost 4 brichardi adults today, came home after picking up my fish from Mike and started doing water changes to all 7 tanks that I now have in the garage. The trophs have been ok, the fish that we lost were in a 75 gallon and a 30 gallon cube.

                          • Our concern is that this is only June. We still have the three hottest months to go.

                            • Fans to keep the stale air moving and dehumidifier to remove/battle humidity will offer some relief. Leaving your garage door cracked a few inches will help.

The last couple of summers that have started out hot have lead to late summer rainy seasons. Hope it happens this year.
