  • difference between Eheim 1260 vs 1262?

For those that have these. Any physical difference between the two. Ehiem web shows the "pump cover bushing" and the impeller is the only difference.

Does anyone have pic to tell the difference? I have a pump without the sticker and want to know.

If it works... Its simple.. Get 2x 5g buckets. Fill one bucket all the way. Drop the pump in there. Measure where the 1/2 way mark is and time it using the shortest length of hose necessary to fill with. 2.5g fill should take right at 15 seconds for a Eheim 1260. It will take about 10 seconds for a 1262.

      Thanks Zulaab for the suggestion.

I'm ordering the pump cover bushing to rebuilt an eheim 1260. I will post pic of both when it comes in for future reference.

According to eheimparts.com the bushing, impeller, and everything is the same. The only differance is the motor housing itself, and even then what is on the inside, and pump cover (impeller cover). The pump cover is differant due to the depth of the impeller well being differant. At least when I had both pump that is what I had assertained. The part you are looking for is the #7443659 (for 1260)

The impeller is actually the same, if you look closely the impeller is different only for the Hz that you motor runs on. I beleive this to be an international differance as the impeller I just bought was for both the 1260 & 1262 60 Hz motors.

FYI, there is even a 1264 avalible, probably in Europe only. It uses all of the same parts as well save for a few. Primary difference is the outlet.

Delock, not to get off topic, but do you know if we can get the 1264 here in the states? I would like to get it as it is more powerfull than the 1262 by about 200 gph.

                1260 634 gph
                1262 898 gph
                1264 1188 gph

The latest I have heard from eheim is that they are thinking about brining the 1264 to the US.

Okie -- I contacted Eheim and ask them when where etc..
This is a copy of the email I got back

The EHEIM 1264 was discontinued several years ago and will not be making a comeback. At this time you might consider the EHEIM 1102 Compact+ pump.

                      Technical Data Eheim 1102

                      Pump output 2500-5000 Liters/Hour
                      Delivery Head 3.0m Max
                      Power consumption 78w
                      Input tube size 1"
                      Output tube size 1"
                      Dimensions HxLxD in mm 138x82x126

                      (Its comparable to a MAG12)
