Weird fish tank with no glass tops

Well I have a 45 gallon tank, yes a 45 gallon tank. For many years I thought this tank was a 55 gallon till recently I measured it correctly to find out it is a 45 gallon. Anyway I'm looking for a glass top. It has a small plastic center brace to hold up the top. the measurements is 23" x 11". I can never find a exact glass top to fit it. I have purchased many glass tops that fit 55 gallon tanks and they don't fit my tank. The glass tops for the 55 gallon are about 23 1/8". Do I need to go get the glass cut exactly to fit my tank or buy the 55 gallon glass top and ask them to cut of the extra 1/8 " to fit my tank?

u can probably order some cut, beveled glass from your local glass co. and then order hinges from DrsFosterandSmith.com along with stick-on handles. should be cheaper than even ordering the presized ones anyways....

are the dimesnions 36x12x24?
if so, you can get them from most petcos, they sell alot of 45g tall tanks.

No the tank looks like a 55 but shorter. I believe it is 48 x 12x 18.
