i dont even like their idea too much...my ideas with high tech electronical parts + water = disaster....and cartridges for the media carbon etc...i like more freedom to choose exactly how i want to set it up...i have a feeling their will be many issues with this considering its the first "high tech" canister...never been a fan of fluval however i hear good things about the fx-5I make people happy

For those of you who are on facebook.. Fluval's facebook account.. become a fan..
I am interested in seeing what they can do against a Eheim. I understand most of the advanced display stuff.. but in short.. how does it venture again an eheim classic canister.
I have had 3 different Fluval's. The canister is now in my parts box. My Fluval 2 and 3 Plus series internal sponge filters.. I still like them and use them. They are good for what they do. Interal filtration of the water. Basically I use them as power heads which have a filter on them so they do something functional rather than just move water.
