  • crazy filtration...

so i finally got all my filtration sorted out. got a new wet/dry on friday. i got from a person on the forum (whom im not gonna mention) because they hid alot of stuff from me that was wrong with the wet/dry. it leaked and was repaired with silicone in several places and it was cracked which was covered in silicone. But i should have more observant when i looked at it, but i had to go to work. anyways here it is, tell me what yall think

    my 2 rena xp3s

my aqua clear pro 150 wet/dry with a mag 7 pump and a rena 400 air pump

my full tank shot, the water is really cloudy cause i was stirring things up working on it.

    my stock:

    1 13" fire eel
    1 8" ornate birchir
    1 7" raphael catfish
    1 5" tiger pleco
    3 3.5-6" clown loaches
    7 2-3" tiger barbs
    2 3" archer fish
    3 2.5" blue neon gymnogeophagus
    2 5" jurupari geophagus
    3 3.5" altifron geophagus
    2 3-4" Heckilli geophagus

i think im HELLA overstocked but what do yall think?

and i flooded my house pretty much because i turned off my mag 7 and it created a reverse suction (enough said)..dumb dumb dumb dumb

Looks good....sorry to hear about the w/d issues.....unfortunately, it happens now and then.....

I'm curious, why the air pump in the wet dry?

You can prevent the reverse suction when your pump shuts off by drilling a little hole just an inch or two under the water line on your output pipe...

Just a little tip.. :) The water will reverse suction until it gets to that hole...and then it will air out. Just make sure you keep the right amount of water in your wetdry...

          Your not overstocked.
Geos like to be with ther geos.
With the filtration you have I would say a few, like 5-6 more geos is easilly doable.
I have kept and breed just about every geo sp. You could comeby, aswell as manu you likely will never see in
          person.

          Look up the geos

          geophagus red head araguia
          satanoperca auticeps
          satanoperca jurupari red lip
          reetroculous xinguinsis
          reetroculous lapidifer
          and guianacara geaiyai

I have kept and raised all of those fish and many many others.

With your filtration I wild say 10-12 geos and the rest of your fish should be fine in your tank.
