    Pretty much all tanks bow in some fashion or another...the idea of doing a center brace is correct...but have a piece of glass cut, not acrylic...over the long term silicone doesn't really bond with plastic (acrylic) very well.

      yea i was gonna get one cut out of glass...what silicone should i use? i need the strongest that will bond to the glass and the plastic trim

        It's GE Silicone...like you get at Lowe's...can't remember if it's I or II at the moment...need to be looking at a tube...I'll post it tomorrow or maybe someone can remember please.

            THANKS GUYS! and should i make a brace between the trim, or brace the actual glass of the tank?

              Both...easiest way to do it is to lay a 2x4 across as clamp the glass to it after running a bead on both the ends and the top edges.
