so at night, my living room is pitch black where my 90g is. Should i have some light at night for my fish since its that dark? or is it fine? if so, what kind of lightning should i have?

You could always put moonlights on your tank for lighting at night, if you want to be able to see them. But otherwise, my apartment's pretty darn dark at night. Like Thai said, fishes need sleep, too. :)"Millennium hand and shrimp!"
