  • Coralife Canaster Filter O-ring ?

I picked up a Coralife Polaris 2 at the GHAC auction last spring and finally got around to setting it up and found that it has a bad O-ring. So now I remember why I got it for such a good price. )

Searched the internet and cannot find filter or O-ring, guess it is out of production...... Rather than make a new gasket from scratch, I was wondering if a Rena Filstar O-ring would work.......

Anyone know where I can get a Coralife o-ring or if a Filstar is the same size ?

looks to be 1/4" thick, 6.5" square with 3/4" radius corners

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

might check an auto parts store near you...I know at O'reilly we carry a box that has a ton of different O-ring sized in it. might work.

Try American Seal, Inc. here in Houston. I beleive ther are on Kress Street. They specialize in O-Rings if they don't have it then I would be at a loss. # is 713.675.7325 They will need OD, ID and thcikness of ring. Every O-ring I have needed for aquarium use I got from them and saved money doing so.

I can say for certain that a Rena Filstar O-ring is about 4" too big and if anyone has a Rena Filstar and would like a new O-ring just send a pm.
