  • Looking for a cheap RO/DI

Anyone know a good price for a decent RO/DI unit? I don't need a high flow rate (75 GPD is way overkill), just something to satisfy my water changes. I've found a 75gpd 5-stage for about 120 on ebay, but I'm really not sure what is a good price. Any advice is much appreciated.
    75 planted (Being Renovated)
    Endlers
    gobies
    lots of nanos

Look on the for sale section at a member named coolname1. If he still has it, he is giving it away with a purchase. I got a 6 stage for $130 on ebay

If you get a 75gpd, you won't actually get 75 gallons of clean water. Most of it will be waste water and only around 10-15% will be good water I think.

if its 75gpd then you do get 75 gallons of clean water ( depends on your water pressure ). Waste to product ratio is generally around 3:1. So if you run it all day.....You should have 75 gallons ro/di water, and 225 gallons waste water. You could later but upgrades to do 1:1 product to waste, but thats like 100 bucks for the pump.

I use BRS ( bulkreefsupply ) rodi systems. Their cheapest rodi is 150 + shipping. Its built like a tank and it uses high grade filters. I paid 260 for my 6 stage but its really nice. Not are ro/di systems are made the same. I'd go with a reputable brand. Doesn't have to be a high end one. But something from Bulkreefsupply, Buck Field Supply, Thefilterguys and etc. Price is about 150-200 for something well built and will last. Most come with in line TDS meters too.
