Eheim 2078 Pro 3e External Canister Filter

I have a eheim pro 2078 that has a slow leak from the close handle has anyone had this problem with a filter could it be that i need to replace the gasket rubber on the pump any help will be great.

take it apart...if there is an O-ring right there...then replace that and apply the new one with some Vasoline. Make sure every piece is hooked up correctly
