  • moonlight setup

I have a 4' wide 30" deep tank and want to set up a blue/ moonlight. I don't want to pay a fortune for some crazy sophisticated light system. I just want a light that will let me view at night and not be to bright to bother the fish. any thoughts? I like this light and system, but have read bad reviews.

I already have the largest Marineland LED they make. I want a separate moonlight I can control. I also don't want to make the blue led's run double duty and burn out before the whites.

Check out frys. I remember seeing them sell LEDs there. They sell singles that can be stringed together and has one power cord.

          Hope that helped!

p.s. you should get crazy sophisticated light system just for kicks!
I ate my fish that died.

I have 2 sets of moonlights sitting on top of my glass tops. They give off a nice blue coloring. Got them at www.digikits.com Inexpensive and work great.

I also have 2 36" Marineland Double Bright LED lights as well, but only use the full lights. I have both the moonlights and Marineland lights on separate auto-timers.

I really hate the marineland double bright led. Simply because theres a manual switch to change between full lights and moonlights. That means I gotta remember to do it every day.

I rather just have had two cords and used some cheapo timers.
