  • Treating MDF wood

As you know MDF (medium density fibreboard) is NOT the greatest material for fishkeeping. When it gets wet, It basically deteriorates and starts bubbling and cracking. I have the tech stand for the Oceanic Illuminata and I love the side access doors but I want to tear the tank down and treat the wood so that it is saltwater resistant. What is the best way of going about this? Just repaint it with some high resistant sort of spray paint?

Thats the quick fix.....or seal it with tompsons water sealer or something similar....

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

Oh I thought about re-skinning it but that is out of the question because the stand it "textured" and not smooth enough.
