Can i just use general purpose silicone to fix my tank or do i need a special one.

I just bought a 29 gallon, ( the guy told me it held water well and doesn't leak)
I tested it and it seems to hold water with no problem but there is a part where a real thin layer of silicon came of, the thicker part seems to still be well attached so i would just really like to add a bit of silicon to secure it and set it up asap.

GE silicon I is the most commonly found silicon for aquarium use. It is available at Lowe's. If you decide that you want to use something else check to make sure that it does not say anything about mold resistant.
