I think it's all maxijet. Sureflow just went out of buisness. I guess. Alex has 2 of them $35.00 each.

I'm thinking the same thing ..but i want to know the power consumption , too . I'm a big Koralia fan ...so if these things use a lot more wattage than my Koralias'..then I don't think I'll buy them . But I do like the price of them though . City Pets posted on their forum that they have them for like $30.00 bucks .

+1 to what Dave said. If anyone is able to report back on the power consumption, please post.

I'm running 2x of the 600 model in my 75g and they are ok, I would put them up with a k3.

They come with standard maxijet 600 and prop, sureflow conversion kit and gs2 prop, aswell as a utility pump conversion kit.

                Very versatile.

I kept the boxes, so I will get the power consumption tonight when I get home.

So the MJ 600 is comparable to the K3 ? Then the MJ 900 will be comparable to the K4 . Does it put out a wide flow or just a straight jet stream type of flow ?

Well... I went by City Pets to check out the MJ 1200 today . I was mostly concerned with the power consumption as compared to the Koralia Evo 1400 . Well , the Maxi Jet 1200 uses 20 watts of power . This is considerably more power than the Koralia Evo 1400..which only uses 6 watts . That's a difference of 14 watts...so basically .....you can run three Koralia 1400s' with the power of a MJ 1200 . As a matter of fact , the old Koralia K4 used less power than these new Maxi Jets . On a brighter note , the MJ 1200 is priced at the great price of $28.99 . For me , the power consumption of the MJ is just too high ......I didn't buy it .

Yeah its a wide flow, not.quite as wide as the koralia, but still decent.

Yeah power consumption is quite a bit more, but I like the versatility of them.

                        Old post bump with question!

I just bought two 1200 pros for the circulation pumps for my tank. Ive been using the old 1200 maxijet powerheads for the life of the tank and liked the old products. Is anyone having issues with the propeller assembly being too loose? It seems like its like 1/32" off which makes it rattle when plugged in. The powerhead/pump mode is silent, but the circulation mode is pretty noisy.

                        Any ideas?

It looked like the start up motion shook the cover loose so I used plastic zip ties to hold the covers in place in my MJ1200 pumps in circulation mode. Now I only have to touch them to redirect flow every now and then.
