I'm looking to add to that though. I need some good powerheads that are quiet and will do the job from one end of the tank. I only have a 3x6 square cut out of the right back corner of the top so all the cords and hoses go through there.

My ultimate goal:

Dual MP40s. One on each end.

well it also depends on what kind of fish you are going to keep.

1 needle nose gar (main reason I want more flow)
1 senegal bichir
80+ perch (food)

Might need a wet/dry if those 10 cats are going to be big.

I've had them for almost two years now. All are about 4-8 inches total.

Nope. Haven't had any problems with my kept fish. The minnows and perch it put in every week have about a 25% mortality rate(not including the eaten ones) though.

I'm pretty sure that's from temperature shock though.

+1 on a wet dry system. Add another fx5. I'm running 2 eheim 2260s on my 150.

Wet/dry is going to provide the most oxygen for the system.

Curious to know....why do you think you need more flow?
