I have 2 - Koralia 4 (the old version of the 1400) in my 150g. One on each end, but angled up to agitate the surface. I can angle them down a little later and see how they do...if you want. Our Fishhouse

I've got 2 tanks I can test with. Both have sandblasting sand, but one is 'sugar sand' which is super fine, and the other is larger. Larger than pool sand, but smaller then gravel. Our Fishhouse

Okay, I just pointed them down(ish) and I like it so much that I'm going to keep one angled down and leave the other pointed up.
I think they will work for you. It didn't move my sand, I didn't try on the sugar sand tank because I have no doubt it would have moved it. The point is, having a Koralia 4 on each end of a 6 ft. tank covered the entire area, best I could tell. Our Fishhouse

I didn't have good luck with this set up with the way my filter returns flow into the tank. Will try this once I put spray bars on so that I can angle the spray bar from the wet/dry down along with the koralia at that end.<br />
