Filter killing my community fish

ok, i finally figured it out... it was a parasite... internal. my fish would do the crazy swim where they would go bottom to top real fast repeatedly and then drop to the bottom and lay there and die... i put some API Pimafix in and had a few of the fish start going crazy and had a long string of poop and after they dropped the poop they were fine. now all my fish seem happy and full of life!... just wish i would have treated them earlier... lost two Corydoras and 6 rummynose and 12 cardinal and 1 black phantom.

Every morning i find at least 4 or five of my tetras stuck to my filter intake. The filter is a aqueon 55 on a 45 gallon tall. Should i put a prefilter sponge over the intake? would the sponge make the filter work harder?
I need to do something to stop the suicide!

yeah i am watching a GBR since last night with symptoms like that. not really going crazy but muted colors and skiddish. i may go ahead and dose her with pimafix now. poop was whitish and stringy? slightly rounder belly? i would friggin loose it if i lost my cardinal and rummynose schools.

it realy sucked to lose my fish like i did... scared to replace the ones i lost.

What fish exactly are these again and where did you get them from?

rummy nose, cardinal tetra, corydora... brown with 2- black stripes, 1- black Phantom tetra.. got them from Xtreme fish and pets, City Pets. City Pets has good fish.. i think the bad ones came from Xtreme fish and pets... i did notice a few dead fish in some of the tanks while i was there but it didn;t phase me that there could be something going on there.
