I have never tryed Purigen. But everyone said its the best thing since glass for your aquarium. People are fighting over old used Purigen. like its crack.
I need to try this stuff.

its great stuff for sure but i dont know how much difference you would actually see in your angel tanks since they are so immaculantly clean. purigen just might make you lazy on your wc lol

my tropheus tank is the first tank i used purigen on and i do see a BIG diff in water clarity..

i know for a fact because when i had the tank without the purigen i would look down the side of the tank it would be murky. run purigen now its way better.

EK, is that NextReef the one you bought from City Pets that came with the pump for a good price? I was thinking that you were running a TLF Phosban 500 now? How do you like it?

I'm still running the nextreef, it didn't come with a pump but I'm using the mini-jet404 to run it.

I love the nextreef but from my experience any higher dollar acrylic reactor is good.

ah, cool...i saw the nextreef in city pets with a pump for 90 but was thinking of picking one up and using an alternate pump myself...how much purigen did you recommend for proper fluidization?

i looked up the mini jet 404 and its adjustable, what flowrate do you have it set at?

Its not really adjustable perse but it does have this booboo plate that blocks the output some, its not precise but the secondish click from the lowest setting. This is with about 2' of hose from the pump to the reactor and 1L of media.

Nick, probably gonna mod it into a de-nitrator and fill it with seachem matrix.
