u guise should just move on to terrariums then. i am slowly shifting my tanks to 100% tap water to see how they do, i am getting sick of refilling my 5gallon jugs at wallymart. i will move up from the 30% changes that I do now if the plants do okay but i cant imagine this! lol

Could you imagine lugging home 200g worth of water every week? Use tap water and just dechlorinate it with prime or safe.

Anyone with a few hundred dollars burned into the hobby should have a carbon bottle or running RO/DI, Aged water. Anything can happen and wipe out your tanks.

I don't believe in carbon bottles.

I don't need it to shower so the fish shouldn't neither.
I ate my fish that died.

i buy 25 gallons a week of purified water from the little water machines that are in walmart, its pretty cheap but I doubt it is using really effective RO or UV sterilization like they advertise. i dont need as much as some ballas do but even 5 jugs gets annoying. i live in the country so my water is super hard and i wasnt sure how the plants or SA tetras / dwarf cichlids would like it

at that rate, i think an RO/DI unit would be more combinient for your use.
