Back washing carbon bottles.

I just back flushed my carbon bottle. It took 1.5 hours to get the water to run clear. Now it runs so much faster my water changes are taking 1/2 the time. I've wasted alot of time in the past 6 months waiting on my tanks to fill.

Hard to do with granule carbon but pellet or a proper set up carbon bottle works, Back flushing is amazing and almost a must!

That's why I'm running a 3 stages prefilter canister with 2 5micron and 1 micron block before the carbon bottle.
