              Of the two, no doubt Herbie is silent-er but Stockman works as well where you can't get a Herbie going.

                Stockman is OK.

                I assume you have your tanks set up this way.

                Do you hear a lot of noise from water hitting the sump?

                      IMO, herbie overflow will take up a lot of footprint real estate and if you just run a low flow return pump it would make little to no noise with a well built stockman.

                        I have a Mag 12 being fed by a dual overflow HOB with two Stockmans that's very quiet.
