i have been using mr. clean magic erasers. make sure that you keep them clean so that the grit doesnt get trapped underneath and they seem to work well.

yeah a read where you said that on a past thread. but this would be an empty tank, with a massive clean up. it seems that will requiere alot of scrubbing. but i cant scrub the calcium with a razor other wise i will scratch.

i used mine on an empty tank. calcium is dissolved by vinegar (which is diluted muriatic acid) so you might research using a stronger vinegar or dilute some MA. CLR works well on glass tanks but i dont know if it would hurt the acrylic. i think that i read that ammonia will craze the acrylic so stear clear of that (which would include windex)

yeah glass is so easy and nice to clean. acrylic are nice tanks but cleaning and removing calcium is the hard part.

Elbow grease/manual labor/sweat blood and tears--or hire some kid for a few bucks to do the scrubbing for you.

at least metal razor an be to sharp and if you scrap it ton a bad angle you can make a dent or chip it. or jsut a plain scratch. also you can remove a thin film of it, but then you can torch it and will be nice again.
