i dont think the 62 and 64 is just changing the tube sizing cause the 64 is a bit bigger.. im guessing diff motor?

i also saw that the 64 looked bigger but didnt find dimensions since its not sold very frequently. all the external parts but the pump cover and the pressure fitting are the same ones used on the 60 though.

Dimensions are the same for all three pumps:

hmm, this site confirms that info too sunny:

so you can get hella flow on a 1260 but just changing the pump cover and the pressure side fitting? doesnt seem right without motor trickery

We thought the same thing about 1260 and 1262, so why not all the way up to 1264?

All I can say is that one of my 2262/"1264" canisters on my 280 has crazy flow with just bio media. The other canister will also get the same treatment next time I service it. I like to have about 8x - 10x tank volume flow per hour flow through canisters so two canisters running 1264 mode on that tank is where I want it to be at. Flow through sump is closer to 4x - 5x.
