how dark is your purigen?!?! (do purigen really work?)

hey guys today i decided i was gnna completely clean my eheim 2217 that is on the 20L. when i mean completely i mean clean the media, switch out the floss, and recharge the purigen. so i have my purigen in a black panty hose and you cannot see the purigen at all. so what i did was cut open the panty hose and dump all the purigen in a cup and this is what came out!!! O_O

do purigen really work?

Just recharge that stuff... Ive had mine dark like that before I just bleached it 3 times then soaked in ro water worked like new....

I don't recharge mine till it is almost that dark... Just take the bags and knead them to move the purigen around...

Mine has never been that dark. But close I just follow the recharge instructions and repeat till it is white again....
