Great link!!! I only use Prime due to my fear of fouling the purigen. Has anyone actually done that with another product? If so what kind? Not sure if it is something used to keep us using Prime or actually an issue...

yeah i switched over to prime for the same reason, it wasnt worth the risk not to and it seems to be a good product. EK uses Amquel+ and Purigen but then he doesnt recharge the stuff so that doesnt help.

Very interesting article, thanks for the post. And it got me wondering, I have aloe plants in the house incase of burns. What if I cut up the plant or blendered it and added it to the water. Would it help the slime coat? Or just cause a god-aweful mess? :P

My attempts to recharge were done with amquel+plus and I tried using it afterwards with no ill effects.

Nice find. Thanks for posting it.

Have been using Prime for years after switching from zip drops.

Used amquel + for a short period of time.

I did not see Seachem Safe in the article. I was reading on another forum that it was a good conditioner. Have anyone used it and what is the pros/cons besides it is cheaper than Prime.

                          Thanks
