Anyone try the aquamedic co2 systems from petco?

Saw one today (whole set up for $50) and thought "wow thats cheap" but, cheap and quality could go completely different ways.

i woudl be wary of any cheap co2 system other than maybe the fluval 88 and even that has its issues

Yea i've heard stories of the fluval ones going berserk and releasing to much in to the tank.

that can happen with any single stage regulator. the refills are pricey and once you pierce the cylinder you cant shut it off agian without bleeding the thing out.

Isan't that the c02 set that R. was using. When he killed all of his shrimp and fish?

i think he was using red sea but not sure, its probably pretty similar. i think his issue was learning to use it and not the equipment itself, if i recall correctly (and i may not)
