    i bet sump pumps, like those used in gas station tanks, are designed to be cooled by the media around them.

        That pump is going to cost you $400 to $600 a year in electricity depending on your cost per Kilowatt. I wanted to do the same thing with an old spa pump but it would cost me an extra $100 a month to run it.


        200 - African cichlids
        72 - Salty Bow Front
        33 Cube - community
        10's - Freshwater Shrimp

            I thought the hum and the sound of running water would put me to sleep. Nothing more relaxing than watching the tank.

                      You can get a Mag-7 for like $60. It's the gph equivalent of what you're currently running.
