What are the best heaters that you have used? I had a fluval 200W that was producing electrical current through my water and got my hand so I would prefer NOT to go with this one. Luckily I didn't have fish in my tank yet! Any suggestions?

i've never had problems with Eheim Jager. i use them on all my tanks. if any component is sending noticeable current through the water, it needs to be chucked in trash bin.
fish don't feel it as much because it does not pass through them. it passes through humans because we're grounded.

i have always used eheim / ebo-jager and they are good. I also have an inline Hydor ETH that seems to be doing well. all glass heaters are still pretty fragile tho so i would buy unbreakable titanium or more inlines the next time i need some.75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish

The probe itself will not hurt the fish... But when the equips gets worst then that becomes a problem... You make the probe out of surgical steel rod so it wont rust... If I have time I will take a picture of the probe I made..

Another endorsement for ebo-jager...
