aquarium test kits

whats your favorite test kit if you have used more than one. im thinking about getting a API freshwater kit but some say its not accurate blah blah blah. so what kits are you guys using on your tanks

I've used api and red sea and both are about the same

I use the API and have never had any issues with it and accuracy. My only complaint is the Ph scale is somewhat limited, but picking up the API Gh & Kh verified their results.

Red sea kit I have is like api using vials and test drops works pretty much the same as api

seems like most of the more expensive kits are sold separately.. its not a all in one like the API

It's better that way, you buy what you need.

A lot of nicer things come that way.

That is true, for what most do or keep it is sufficient.

thank you everyone for the input. seems like most people use the API and didnt have problems. gonna get that kit since i will probably be using all of it.

get the master kit along with the GH and KH kit.


pretty much covers everything.
