Hmm... from the reading I see that the person stated the loss of power to one side which would probably cause a back siphon which would in turn drain water from the second wet/dry... since you did state and is true that the tank is the common area and will share that. The second wet/dry would fill into the tank to make up for the first wet/dry failing so I think that would turn out to be two dead pumps.
Another thing I would think that would fail is the overflow, losing siphon on one side would force all the water from one wet/dry into the other so if it can't handle it then now you have a flood on your hands.
Also, why complicate it by trying to run two? I agree with this ballin dude, why not just run one that can handle it all? pretty pointless to run two don't you think? These things are cheap and can be made using pretty much whatever.700g Mini-Monster tank

You're as guilty of derailing as much as everybody in the conversation now hobo.
No stalemate is not "tuned" to checkmate yet, because you still have failed to point out exactly what's so bad about running two wet/drys on one tank besides stating opinions and saying the sky's falling rather than explaining to us how exactly what you warn of happening will happen. Hell you failed to explain the nature of failure to begin with.
Nor did I try to discredit anyone based on a unresearched comment about how something does not exist.

Since the majority of us don't run two W/D filters, or run K1/K3 in them, you failed to notice that this is in fact a one-of and tailor your replies accordingly.
Your reply that most here don't pays full price does not pertain to everyone so I based it off what is the same across the board. No where do I see where the Op stated he is getting it for what price or even if he is paying for it. Only see that he is questioned the logistics of either.
I beg to differ about the wet/dry comment as well as the kaldness media.
Wet/dry is nothing new nor is it not highly used in the hobby, hell, even walmart uses it for their stock tanks.
as for the fluidized media... that has been around for longer than you would think and highly used in several applications so the lack of knowledge would not effect the situation.175g - fw flounder tank

Yeah, if money isn't a factor than do whatever you want, hell I think diamonds would also make great media.
But the point I am trying to make is that the OP did not state he was ballin off tha wall nor did he say it was free or money was of no concern.175g - fw flounder tank
