  • What filter for a 30 breeder?

I'm upgrading from an ac30 to a new filter. Was thinking 2217 but not sure if that's too much.

Next to nothing with bioload - I'd go with a sponge filter/hob power filter combo. Sponge for bio, then use a hob to mechanical/water clarity

Spoke with Tim and ordered a 2215 from big Al's for 90.

You should probably order the sponge prefilter add on or make a DIY intake for that. Eheim intakes have pretty large gaps, guppy fry or heck, even adults may get sucked up

I'll take the sponge from my ac and fit it on.

You will be happy with the Eheim 2215. I have one on a small tank and it work great...

I have a 2213 on my 29 gallon tank and its pretty awesome. Just wasn't sure if a 2217 would be too much or not but I think the 2215 will a crap ton better than ac30.
