My tank is sitting on my dresser. Most of the water got into the drawers before it got on the carpet. I individually took the drawers and emptied them in the tub. I'm assuming the carpet got about 20 gallons. Everything is dry now. Just funky.

This is why I suggested the the carpet shampoo-er . It removes more of the water than a shop vac therefore you wouldn't have that funky mildew smell .

Hmmm, I think I'm the queen of walking away and forgetting the water filling the tank. My last one I was filling a 20 gallon tank and 3 hours later I walked by the room and wondered why there was an inch of water on the floor. My husband has bought me some of those water alarms but I forget where we put them. :PGuppies:
